Arvin Anime Association
History
The Arvin Anime Association was created in 2018 by Mr. Erick Herrera in order to bring students, teachers, and community members that have a passion and liking for Japanese animation and its subcategories which include: art, cosplay, manga, and many other aspects as well. The reason why it is called an Association and not a club is because we would like to have an outreach outside of school. The Arvin Anime Association also seeks to create a community that can keep in contact and continue to share common interests with each other even after high school . The Association's meetings are currently stationed and held at Arvin High School where Mr. Herrera and Ms. Ayala currently advise the Association and its members.
Past/Future Events
As of now, the Arvin Anime Association has:
- Fundraised money by selling food at school events.
- Had drawing and cosplay competitions.
- Held several potlucks/food gatherings.
- Gone to see the 2nd My Hero Academia movie on release day.
- Received shirts to represent the Assoc.
- Been acknowledged and shouted out by the Christopher Sabat (the voice of Vegeta/All Might).
Unfortunately, due to the shutdown. The Association can only do meetings virtually. We have several events and ideas we want to do and hope to do so once the school is opened.

- Dr. Stone (Season 1. 2 In Progress)
- Fire Force (Season 1 Incomplete)
- Ouran High School Host Club (Event)
- Cells at Work! (Season 1)
- Sk8 the Infinity (Season 1 In Progress)
Membership/Meeting Times
Any student is welcomed to join the Arvin Anime Association. Please contact Mr. Herrera or any of the Assoc. officers for more information. Membership level is determined by attendance and how often a member shows up.
Meetings are always on Fridays after school.
