Ms. Jennifer Stevens

I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga and attended Etiwanda High School and CSU Bakersfield. I was the first in my family to attend college and graduated many years ago 😉. I was an Academic Counselor at CSUB serving first generation and underrepresented students. I was a scholarship coordinator and was able to award full 4-year scholarships to many students. And I began teaching math at Shafter High and West High school before becoming a Bear.

I have been teaching math at AHS since 2006. I have taught most classes here and love working with my department. Link Crew 💚 was established in 2007 and our PRIDE Team 🐻 was created in 2014, both of which I helped found and both have made me a better person. I have been a club advisor to various clubs on campus and am currently advising our 🌈 SAGA Club because I believe all students should be safe and comfortable being themselves. I believe in kindness, keeping an open mind, and personal growth.

I know ALL students can do math; some just need a little more effort and support than others. Let me be that support for you. 😊

Students with tons of PRIDE will be successful.
Participation, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, Empathy.

2020-2021 Link Crew Leaders were selected from the best candidates and had a rigorous start to their year. In March 2020, we began distance learning and the end of the Link Crew selection process went all virtual. These students have demonstrated their determination and tenacity through their continued participation in online meetings and responsibility for completing small tasks all through Google Classroom. I am so proud to work with these fine young people.
SAGA is a club that believes all students should feel safe and comfortable being themselves on campus no matter ethnicity, sexuality, or gender. We meet bi-weekly for students to convene and to create activities or events that promote and support kindness, anti-bullying, and acceptance on our campus.
