Sexuality and Gender Acceptance (SAGA) Club

SAGA started at AHS as a Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) club in order to provide support to and a safe place for our LGBTQ students. Club participants voted in 2018 to change the name of the club to be more inclusive. 

 

On March 13, 2020, Mayor Gurrola came to Arvin High and proclaimed that week as Pride Week for the city of Arvin. The entire school participated with dress up days and lunch time activities where students could receive ribbons, stickers, buttons, and make pledges of acceptance.
